Don't worry it is NOT of that significance to interfere in your operation.
Now take a lot of water orally for 24 hours and the whole thing will be excreted out.
Don't worry a cent, tell your doctor too, I think he will smile as Sudafed is excreted out of the body within 48 hours and 9/28 is a long time ahead.

Best of luck, do send me an email when you return home healthy.

Hey not a doctor but have taken pills before surgery and even drank a large coffee, which was a big no no. when I told them they asked if I had acid reflux and zI said no and they went ahead. first of all call them and tell them, they have an on call doctor. They when you show up tell them before the surgery and make dog gone sure you tell the doctor and if they want to put you to sleep first tell them you have to tell the doctor or you are going to freak out. I have seen folks freak out and start crying and the doctor has to come and calm them do, so it ain't that big of a deal.

also look up the drug and see what the half life of the product is. This tells you how long it takes for the medicine to be excreated from your body. The stuff may be got in a day, never know. call up the on call doctor that is why they have anumber to call at the office and then the answering service will steer you to him or her. Praying for ya. Take care!

P.S. If you are allergic to anything tell them about that right before the operation as I had a friend who was allegic to benidrill and even though it was all over his charts the stupid people pumped him full of it and he passed away. They make mistakes too. So just make sure it there is anything that they need to know about again tell againor make your folks tell the doctor as this would have saved his life. A simple mistake. Also you can always postpone the operation, it will not be the end of the world, better save than not.

It really depends on what kind of anesthesia your having. General or local. Also, the fact that your surgery isnt until 9/28 I think you will be fine. The sudafed will be out of your system by then. Dont worry, but dont take anything else thats on the list.

Before you freak out, use common sense. Do you really believe that one Sudafed will still be in your system in a week?

If you look a little closer on that sheet of paper, I am fairly certain it will say to not take the medications within 24-48 hours of the procedure.

Since your doctor made the request, it would be a good idea to check with him/her. Probably not, but it also depends on the type of surgery. Try not to stress out, just ask. It probably has gotten out of your system but it is always a good idea to check with the doctor.
