Protein is in everything, so as long as you are eating a nice balance of foods from the food groups

Grains
veggies
fruits
nuts, seeds and legumes

you will be just fine.

Eat legumes, nuts, vegetables and whole grains. Try the site VegWeb.com for helpful recipes and flavorful combinations. Tofu is good but many people really don't like it so if you like it incorporate it it is a great protein source. To be assured you are getting the right balance check out MyPyramid.gov type in your weight and exercise pattern, check the vegetarian box and let it show you the right balance to stay healthy, get enough protein and not get too many calories in the bargain. A big mistake many vegetarians make is they eat too much bread so they gain weight that is difficult to lose. Start with a good plan and you will be happier for it and healthier too!
Good Luck!
