The tern you used - "Fight".
I'm a Vegetarian, and I know other Vegetarians & Vegans, They don't fight, However they DO or MAY have a civilized argument, Because the line doesn't stop at Vegan. There's many types of vegetarians, Like Ovo-Lacto, Ovo, Lacto.
There's also such a diet called a 'Fruitatarian", Which is a person which only eats a food which has naturally fell from a Tree. NOT included food that has been harvested.
So they do argue over what is and should be right, But not fight.
I hope this has helped!
:D

I am a vegetarian, but not pure vegan. I do not eat eggs or geletin, but do drink some select dairy products. I don't use leather, but wear wool occassionally.
I try to avoid broad classifications, because someone's personal choices are complicated and meaningful to them. I have decided on my own preferences that I do not typically advertise unless I am asked about it.
If someone is interested in knowing more about vegan or vegitarian lifesyles, I can speak from my personal experience only.... not from any absolute philosophies I have.
I find that people seem to reciprocate when respect is given to them. If a vegetariam goes up to a vegan and starts giving them a hard time that they are being obsessive and crazy, or course that vegan will want to fight back calling the non-vegan vegetarian lazy and ignorant. I they instead respect and appreciate that they are in the company of fairly like-minded people, then they will appreciate their common ground.
So to answer your questions... I have never found there to be any animosity or bad feelings between myself as a non-vegan vegetaian and vegans. I find it exciting when I do haev an opportunity to spend time or dine with a like minded person.
I would say there is one exception though. There are a select few people I know that avoid eating meat for dietary / health purposes. While I think it is just fine to carry whatever kind of dietary restrictions you feel is neccessary for a healthy lifesyle, and while I personally am glad they don't eat meat.... I somehow resent the fact that they call themselves vegatarians. I think the term vegatarian implies that there is some fundamental distinction between different various products that are consumed. A person that does not eat meat for dietary or health purposes is really saying that they don't eat things that they consider to be unhealthy.. amoung which are those things that vegarians sustain from.
I think the intention need to be there to really call yourself a vegatarian... or better still, just avoid such broad labels all together. I typically say that I don't really eat meat. If someone probes me more, I will admit to sustaining from other things such as eggs and leather.. but I don't give up such preferences easily.

I imagine some do. They are human, after all, and humans are expert at considering their way the best way. Personally, I don't advertise my being vegetarian, unless it is out of necessity. And I certain don't try to convert anyone. My choice is my own and it's for my own reasons. I have a certain admiration for vegans, but I know that I can't go there. I would hope and expect that my decision would be respected (by vegans AND by meat-eaters). If not, that's the other person's problem, not mine.

If you are talking about vegans and vegetarians argueing with each other then I honestly couldn't say. I've only met one other vegetarian in my whole life and I have yet to meet a vegan in real life.

I try not to argue with anyone. I'm very passive and don't like confrontation. I don't eat meat but I don't think that makes me better than carnivores.

I got into a knife fight over the nature of broccoli, one tough vegan almost had me. I won so therefore broccoli is the king of veggies. His minions are plotting against the king so I must go get them before spinach becomes king. Hate spinach.

Some of them fight with each other, but most people just worry about themselves. We all make our own choices, because we all have our own values. Every person does what he or she thinks is best.
