One time I accidentally ate this rice that a friend made... she told me it was vegan (and like a dumba s s) I believed that she knew what she was talking about.
I ate some of it and immediately tasted something weird about it. Then I asked her what was in it... she listed what she used to make it and said that she used cream of mushroom soup... I don't know if I felt guilty, but I definitely wanted to throw up all over her floor...
Luckily I have a strong stomach...LOL. I just figured...oh well it's not her fault, I should have been more careful. And it was an accident.
That kind of stuff has happened a few times since I've been a vegan... but hey what can I do but be more careful next time. I might have felt a little guilty about it right after it happened... until I realize that I didn't do it on purpose. And life goes on... I just had to forgive myself and pay closer attention to what I put in my mouth.
I just answered another question about someone eating pizza... and wondering whether she should regret it or not.
I told her that when I first became a vegan it was so overwhelming that I went back to eating dairy... It only lasted a few days because I felt so unhappy and guilty about it.
So yeah I felt guilty about that... But I don't regret doing it. (Now I know that I could never go back to eating dairy :])

Great question!
I only drink organic red wine with no sulphites added. However, I live in Canada and no vineyard here produces such a wine. So, I have to buy wine that comes from California. I feel guilty about this because I remember watching a news expose years ago about California vineyards and how they hire illegal immigrants as labour and pay them next to nothing with no health insurance because they are illegals.
I feel very guilty about that for the same reason I try not buy anything manufactured in a nation with a poor human rights record.

I don't feel guilty about anything I eat in terms of animal rights.
I might feel guilty or otherwise self-disappointed if I eat something unhealthy.
I'm a vegan, by the way.

I confess to being more flexible than some about honey. I do not eat honey all by itself, but I buy 2 products that have honey as ingredients: a szechuan sauce and a breakfast cereal. I know the vegan police aren't going to come to my door or anything, but I do feel guilty about it sometimes.

so here's my little situation... my family and i are broke. like, DEAD broke. we only had $13 to spend on groceries the other day. there was absolutely no way we would be able to buy enough food to last us a week on $13 at a health food store, which is where we normally shop. that would've bought a loaf of bread and a pound of apples.. seriously!
anyway, we went to walmart and bought the necessities: bread, tortillas, pasta, etc. then we went to the local market and purchased some produce.
sooo, i spread some peanut butter on a slice of bread this morning and began eating... until i decided to double-check the ingredients list. see... i had told my husband to look at the ingredients list on the bread, and he claimed he did, but he obviously missed the part that said "butter" and "mono and digylcerides" (dunno how... but hey, that's my husband for ya).
so i felt guilty about finishing the bread, but there was nothing i could do. we already bought it and throwing it away would just be wasteful. plus, i can't afford to buy another loaf of bread. i won't eat another slice of it... in fact, i'll let the hubby finish it ;)
other than that, i don't really eat anything that makes me feel guilty... :)

I feel guilty when I eat junk food. Not guilty enough to stop doing it, mind you. I know it's bad for me, but if I'm driving and I stop for gas, I just have to get a coke and some Party Time Mix.

By Religious practice,we are vegetarians for 2700 years, but we take cow's milk.We had our own cows till I was 10 year old ,then moved to a Metropolis-we purchased cow's milk from cowherds for sometime;now in a foreign country we take only what is sold as milk in the market .Never I had to feel guilty, since I am careful about my diet, when I eat outside. The recently turned "Vegans" are making fun of me for drinking Cow's milk.

I do eat Raw Goat cheese & Buffalo Mozzerella once in a while. I am 99.99% Vegan. But my worst sin is too much Sugar..of course the plain old refined "junk". But I do sugar binge way too often.
POOR lady, chocolate is 100 times better for her than animal flesh.
