I am looking for any creative buffet ideas. I do alot of entertaining and I hate repeating the food. I would love ideas for all sorts of themed buffets. I have done omelet bars and panini luncheons. I am looking for any and all ideas that you have. Group size is not an issue. I host parties for 6 to 160. I would love any and ALL ideas to liven up my upcoming parties.

More, more. I want more ideas. I like the mashed potato bar idea. Keep them coming. I don't think you realize how often I entertain.

Do a mashed potato bar!
Serve the potatoes in a martini glass.
Have assorted toppings available for the guest to design their own like: Sour cream, cheese, fresh cooked bacon, chives, salsa, steamed broccoli, butter, cheese sauce....the possibilities are endless!

Have you done a tapas buffet yet? And serve sangria?
An Old West theme? With "camp grub", as it were.
Hollywood Night? Like with a red carpet and all glamorous.
Or how about something like Zoo Night? Or "Welcome to the Jungle"? It takes a bit of research (maybe not for you!), but you can make all kinds of animals out of veggies and fruits. I knew someone who made a penguin out of an eggplant, that could guard the punch bowl or anything cold. He could also make a mouse out of a half pear or kiwi. The kiwi one was very realistic. Those could guard the cheese plate. I think it'd be cute!

A mexican buffet is always fun, with hard and soft tacos, refried beans, and fajitas if you want to get more adventurous. You could finish it off with a flan (custard with caramel sauce).
