For convenience, you can get 2-3 days supply of freeze dried food for two but you'll need more water and the cost is not cheap. Or you can get some MRE's ( military Meals Ready to Eat) They have tons of calories in them but keep for about 5 years and each packet will have a drink mix , gum, toilet tissue etc. Already cooked so can be eaten out of the retort pouch or heated in boiling water.
These are not cheap either but each packet will be more than enough calories for a meal. Check the Internet by typing in ...emergency food rations..... There will be many sites there and varying costs etc.
Once you are a seasoned camper, you will see what you like best or start cooking more food you brought. The above items are a convenience but not cheap. probably around 4-5 bucks a meal but they come in breakfast lunch and dinner.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

You can cook and prepare anything camping that you would have at home, actually. No need to change your normal food choices just for camping, but you can make camp food really special too.
We often have coffee, granola and fruit for breakfast. Sometimes we'll cook eggs and make burritos of them with cheese and hot sauce. Breakfast cereal is always easy too.
Lunch can be a sandwich, fruit, and lots of water to drink. (Always good to stay hydrated camping). You can make a prepackaged noodle mix (Lipton) and add a can of chicken to it for lunch on another day.
Snacks to have on hand: baby carrots, apples, bananas, potato chips and dip, cookies, other cut veggies to munch on, etc.

And, if you have a cast iron Dutch Oven, you really can make anything you would at home. We've made stews, roasts, and you can bake breads, cakes and cookies.
