No. STDs are almost always spread by sex or some sort of sexual contact. They can NOT be spread by swimming with someone who has a STD, using a toilet seat after someone, bathtub, chair, jacuzzi, etc. If STDs were able to be spread by a pool, A LOT more people would have STDs out there!

I have had genital herpes and HPV for over 6 years now. I lived with my parents and brothers most of those 6 years (I contracted both viruses when I was 17). NONE of my family members ever got herpes or HPV from swimming in a pool with me. I've also had several other family members and boyfriends (now ex's) go swimming with me and NONE of them ever contracted either virus. They are just not spread that way.

Take care!

As a health professional, I can assure you that you will NOT get any disease from the public pool. They are chlorinated which prevents that. I you used somebody else's shaving stick once, and they had an infection, and they had used it shortly before you, it is theoretically possible that you could get an infection, but I want to emphasize that this is very unlikely!

If you have an infection you likely got it from somewhere else, and you should see a doctor right away. If you are symptom free then do not worry about it, and have chat with your doctor about this when you can see him/her in 3 months.

You could possibly get a vaginal infection from bacteria in a dirty pool or a yeast infection from sitting too long in a wet swimsuit. You CANNOT get an STD from a pool, especially herpes. Herpes is spread by skin to skin contact.

It is almost impossible to get an STD from a shaving stick. If someone's blood was on the shaver and you used it immediately afterwards and cut yourself, it is theoretically possible to get a bloodborn disease, but not likely at all.

Its often more secure for him to visit the medical professionals to get it looked at in any case although its now not an STD it would nonetheless want a few scientific awareness. Its often an illness however its so much more secure to move see a health care provider.

You do not get STD's from pools or razors. You get them from sexual contact with people who have an STD.
You didn't say that you were having symptoms. Why do you think you have an STD?
