It sounds like you both might have a yeast infection. Go to the doctor and get it checked out. I'm no doctor....so,

If you want to be safe, ask them to do a type specific test for Herpes(there is type 1 and type 2) They can do blood work, or take a swab of the area in question. Don't trust a visual exam, as often times symtoms of one thing can be confused with symtoms of something else. For example, sometimes herpes symptoms can be confused with a yeast infection, or in guys an in grown hair, etc. It's best to just play it safe and go get tested.

The links below should explain it in a bit more detail...
Regardless, if you do have a yeast infection the doctor can advise you and give you medication. I'm pretty sure the both of you's can pass this back and fourth to each other.

Well symptoms of a yeast infection include:

1.) Foul smell - almost like bread
2.) Itching in your vaginal area
3.) Discharge - sometimes white, dark yellow, green - could also be chunky in texture appearing like cottage cheese

With herpes you'll develop the blisters as well. I would say that if your boyfriend has discharge and blisters you should definitely consult a doctor to be tested. It's better to be safe than sorry.

If you really want to check for a yeast infection first they have started to sell test kits for vaginal infections in drug stores. You'll have to pee on the stick, it'll change color to indicate which type of vaginal infection you have, and then if it's a yeast infection you can purchase an over the counter remedy such as Monistat. I'm not sure if all drug stores are selling the test kit yet or not, but you could ask them.

If you do choose to do an at home test, and it comes back negative for all types of vaginal infection then you'll seriously have to see your gyno to be tested for STD's.

Hope this helps. Good Luck. :-)

You need to go to your doctor, and right now. They can culture your affected area and let you know if you have herpes. If you don't go while you are having a breakout you might never know for sure. There are blood tests, but they only tell you if you have type 1 or 2, which can both be either oral or genital. By the way, just because you are monogamous doesn't mean you can't have herpes.

With a yeast infection, it itches and you have lots of cottage cheese-like discharge.

Herpes itches, too, but mostly it burns like a MoFo. There's not as much discharge. And you may have sores (use a mirror or have your bf help you check down there).

Either way, you should go see a doc, and SO SHOULD HE!!

Monogamous or not, you can carry Herpes but have no symptoms for years, so either of you could have had it for a while.

I tested positive for herpes type 2 approximately five years back, when I was still in college and had a spupid one-night affair. I know a lot of women will say this but believe me I never did that sort of thing. I just made a mistake that one time and, suddenly, it looked like I was going to have to live with the problem for the rest of my life. The awful part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to date a person who has blisters around her you-know-what? But after someone shared this video https://tr.im/3NSf1 everything has changed. Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my body in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so happy to say that just last week, in front of many people in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program offered me the chance to be happy again, and to experience true love.

I would say if your bf is having a discharge and bumps there could be something going on besides a yeast infection.

Best to get it checked out by your doctor.

Good Luck.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.
