I'm a vegetarian i try to not to pressure people i know i used to and that it doesn't do any good.I try keep my mouth Shut unless i am asked about my life style.

Mostly because most "veg types' that are overtly rude and condescending like all youths are young and condescending so they think they are right and you are wrong. They have yet to learn to go with the flow. If your friends know you are a veg they will make compensation if you have to make others feel bad you don't have very good friends (a good rule regardless of food).
Not all Vegetarians, Vegans,Ovo-veg, etc are jerks just those new to the life - they are usually still battling their past and don't want temptation around. You need to be the bigger person and tell them - "Hey, no big I bet we can find a place to eat we will both enjoy (then recommend Asian or Indian). If people would just sway a little to accommodate dinner would be the pleasure it is supposed to be. Good Luck!
