Ok, I am not sure if I have it or not , and I would like more info before going to the doctor. I've had vaginal discharge, and its itchy but no bumps, and I'm lactating, I've never been pregnant and am not currently, And I've kissed my bf a lot, before I thought I had an std, and he hasnt had any symptoms. But sometime my mouth gets really itchy as well..I dont know if it is all in my head either! Any advice? what are some of the symptoms of Herpes or a hormone imbalance?I have been tested for other std's and I did at one point have chlamydia, & bv. but that had been cured. Then the discharge & itchiness came back so I went and got tested again and the results were negative..So I'm a bit confused! help!

It sounds to me like a hormonal imbalance of some sort. If you are not pregnant you certainly should not be lactating. The hormonal imbalance can cause an ongoing over growth of the naturally occuring yeast in your vagina which would account for the discharge and itch. See a gynecologist for this one, a general practise doctor won't have the knowledge to deal with this complicated issue.

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes (type 2) about 5 years back, when I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. You are in luck!!! They now make a test over the counter that you can buy. It's in the same area as where you get your yeast infection medicine. You get a sample of vaginal fluid and put it on a test strip and compare it to a chart. This is VERY helpful to determine if it's "just" a yeast infection, vaginitis (infection of the vagina-I HATE THOSE!), Tric, or something worse.
