I have this mild cough which is lasted more than a week. Can I still jog and workout or should I rest until the cough goes away?

The 'rule' I have heard is that if it is in your head, you are fine. If it is in your chest, then don't work out or keep it very light.

Either way, monitor youself closely and don't push it, things like temperature control, balance, and heart rate are all impacted by illness.

Nah, if it is mild you won't have your wind. But I strongly encourage you to take a day off to let your immune system and body overcome the cough. If it gets worst see a doctor.
