Snot basically is a mucus that is produced by the cells inside the nose. The purpose of snot is to trap dirt and allergens in the nose so they do not go into the lungs.

When snot dries up with the dirt and allergens, they become boogers. Fun!

Mucus. It lines your stomach to prevent it from digesting itself.
