I love both.

But.....

Sashimi (Japanese: 刺身) is a Japanese delicacy primarily consisting of very fresh raw seafoods, sliced into thin pieces and served with only a dipping sauce (soy sauce with wasabi paste and thin-sliced ginger root or ponzu), and a simple garnish such as shiso and shredded daikon radish.

I've difficult to find restaurant who serve authentic WASABI root paste here in the US. Almost all sushi bars in America and Japan serve imitation (seiyō) wasabi because authentic wasabi is extremely expensive. And some restaurant do not give you daikon radish.

In Japanese cuisine, sushi 寿司, 鮨, 鮓 is a food made of vinegared rice combined with fish (uncooked and in some cases cooked).

This is kind of against my low-carbohydrate diets. And some chef really have difficult time controlling the vinegar amount.

I like sushi because sashimi is uncooked fish while sushi is the other way around and also because sushi has carrots and alvocado in it.
