Simplest definition is "lateral pressure exerted by blood on the walls of the arteries is known as Blood pressure".
Normal blood pressure (although much debatable) is 120/80 or 110/70 in healthy adults.

Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against blood vessel walls. The heart pumps blood into the arteries (blood vessels), which carry the blood throughout the body.

The systolic pressure is defined as the peak pressure in the arteries, which occurs near the beginning of the cardiac cycle; the diastolic pressure is the lowest pressure (at the resting phase of the cardiac cycle).

Normal: Less than 120/80
Prehypertension: 120-139/80-89
Stage 1 hypertension: 140-159/90-99
Stage 2 hypertension: 160 and above/100 and above

Blood pressure is measured in millimeters of mercury. The top number, or systolic blood pressure measures how much pressure is exerted on the blood vessels at the peak flow of blood (just after the heart has pumped it out). The bottom number, or diastolic measures the level of pressure when the heart is at rest and blood is just free flowing without pump. Normal for a healthy adult is usually 100-130 systolic and 50-80 diastolic. It would look like this: 115/70.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

It's the pressure that your blood exerts as it is pumped through your body.
