And are you aware that just standing next to a smoker does almost no damage whatsoever as long as they're downwind of you? Unless they blow smoke in your face...

And car exhaust is MUCH more harmful than cigarette smoke - but they don't warn you about that because car exhaust is EVERYWHERE.....they have to pick on a minority...

I'd rather stand next to my fellow smokers, thank you.

A Smoker, they might offer me a drag on their cigarette ;)

And if I was standing next to a car exhaust pipe as well as inhaling the fumes theres always the risk that they could reverse into me or something.

good question ...as far as all these people saying "i dont need to stand next to an exhaust".....the next time your in the countryside and take a breath of clean air ...then compare to the carbon monoxide ridden air in the town and city..think again or look at the black buildings ...ps stress is a killer too so should we all stop working and sit on our big fat as$..then again, overweight is also a killer...so we could have a smoke and lose weight

At the risk of being lynched..... I would rather stand next to a bar with a cigarette in my hand! However I'm not bitter about the smoking ban, I even agree with it under certain circumstances, I just disagree with being told what I can do and when and where I can do it. x

Can you actually 'stand' next a car exhaust pipe? (unless you work in a garage).
Anyway, neither....and luckily we have the choice.

Maybe cars will be the next item on the list of what not to let us enjoy anymore. Don't give 'em any ideas for christ sake!

I am an ex-smoker, yet it does not bother me when people smoke around me, as long as they hold the cig. away from me and blow the smoke the same.
