Hi I was wondering if anyone was generous enough to lend a train cake tin, Im having alot os issues getting one. I would be more than happy to supply money for postage and promise that i would post it back straight away.

My god son is being christened and is having his First birthday all in the one day and his mother has asked me to make the cake as she is very ill. i would like to make his special day as memorable as possible.

Can't help with the tin, but can help you make a train cake.
Use a jam/jelly roll for the front, on a rectangle block for the front. A block of cake for the back and round biscuits in two sizes, for the wheels. Carriages can be made out of cake rectangles, with biscuits for wheels. Icing in coordinating colours to join and finish the cakes. Decorate with lollies and biscuit "logs" in the coal truck. Liquorice can be used for tracks. Maybe write a number 1 on the engine.

I can't help you with a train pan. I do have a site that shows many train cakes that people have made. If you find one you like, click on the photo to enlarge it and get the directions how it was done. I hope you find one you can do.
