i was watching a movie today and this girl has HIV and i was wondering if she got pregnant if her baby would get it

Yes, it is possibly and there's a big chance of it, however, it can be prevented by having a C-section bcuz the baby will only get it going through the vagina of an infected person...

It can go either way. Which is why you're strongly encouraged when you are pregnant to take an HIV test. Taking precautions like a Csection delivery rather than vaginal and taking HIV meds during pregnancy can reduce your odds. Also you would avoid breast feeding etc.
