Did not see the article, but there are plenty of other resources on "organics."

You should always read ingredients, even if the label claims the product is "organic."

You can never be 100% sure of "organic" standards unless you grow the food yourself, but its usually better than the alternatives...except for "organic" animal products. The "organic" label of animal products are just marketing ploys. Those animals may be fed less chemicals, but are treated just as poorly as non-organics. http://www.peacefulprairie.org/freerange1.html#freerange

In terms of beauty products, the less chemicals & more natural, organic ingredients the better. Who cares if the latest "breakthrough" technology makes your skin dewy & youthful if you'll end up looking sallow & gaunt from cancer due to its toxic ingredients? Checkout Environmental Working Group: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ where they rate cosmetics on safety & efficacy.

alot of products just put ORGANIC just so they could jack up the price and make people want to buy it because they think they're being healthy.

you need to read labels and use your head, so you don't get scammed. And watch out for enriched flour--its the worst for you.
