I didn't get much juice from it (as I imagined) I thought about blending the broccoli and then adding it to the juice.
any tips? it's a shame to waist all that broccoli for a small amount of juice....
thanks in advance.

Try adding a small amount of liquid and cooking it for just a minute. The heat should help get the juices running, although there still won't be much.

This is a good recipe, broccoli juice is very strong, and tastes bitter without anything added, they don't produce that much juice, so adding a carrot for sweetness adds good flavor.

Broccoli Bonanza

Broccoli just seems like a great vegetable to eat, so why not juice it as well? This juicing recipe makes use of bell peppers as well, with some carrot for sweetness.

Ingredients:

2 stalks of broccoli
4 medium carrots
1/2 medium green bell pepper

Directions:

If you actually have some red bell pepper and you like your juice a bit sweeter, try using some of that instead of the green. Green bell pepper can sometimes be a little bitter. Or try use a bit of both.

You probably want to peel the broccoli to get some of the harder outer rind off the stalks. I actually think most people cut off the stalks and juice the heads only. If you do so, you might want to save the stalks for Chinese stir-fry or other vegetable dishes. The stalks can be peeled with a vegetable peeler and then sliced thin and cooked quickly for a crunchy addition to stir-frys.

Juice the carrots first and save that pulp for later. Juice the peppers (try the pulp of that in salsa) and then lastly juice the heads of broccoli

Makes about 1 cup.

I found it better to juice it with something like carrot! Gave up in the end though and just used it in soups!

Did you cook the broccoli first? Steam it and then juice it.

you may think I'm crazy but I sometimes add water to the remaining pulp and then juice it again. but just barely enough - not very much at all. Just enough to make it go through the juicer.
