Take some regular raw sugar crystals and whirl them in a blender, food processor or coffee grinder. You now have vegan powdered sugar to roll your donuts in or to mix with a dash of soymilk to make a frosting. Add some ground nutmeg to the mix to make them taste like the typical donuts made with animal based ingredients.

Donuts need to be deepfried ie. you cannot shallow fry in a frying pan. However you don't necessarily have to use an electric deep fat fryer. All you need is a sufficiently large and deep saucepan. Fill in enough oil to come one-third up the sides (as per Fire and Safety Departments recommendation) . Not having an electric deep fat fryer with a thermostat means that you will have to keep a watchful eye on the pan and continually monitor its heat. When you think it may have come up to sufficent temperature drop in a small amount of your batter and see how fast it comes up to the surface. If it remains submerged for fairly long, then the oil is probably not yet hot enough. Take great care while frying your donuts and removing them from the hot oil. Most accidents can happen when the oil catches fire. So if you are vigilant and take your time accidents can be avoided. NOTE: Electric deep fat fryers are pretty cheap. If you plan to deep fry stuff on a more regular basis I would advise that you buy one. It's way safer!

I love the response's to this question. haha. But I would just eat it by itself or put some jam on it, possibly syrup? I don't know how that would taste but I know its sweet! You might be able to find some kind of recipe online.

Try putting granulated sugar in the blender, or put jam on them instead of sugar. I'm assuming you use egg substitute, soy milk & non-bone-char sugar, naturally.

Just eat them plain. For the next time, get some baking chocolate chips, and melt those. (Some baking chips don't have diary, and are completely vegan)

What about just tossing them with cinnamon and granulated sugar while they're still hot?
