For me, it's the little plastic cups Luigi's Italian Ices come in. I use them for all sorts of things, taking my lunch, as drinking glasses, scoops of soy delicious, as food dishes for my rabbit, cleaning paint brushes. They're great little all-purpose containers.

Ok you said weird. I can top everyone. I once bought the worst box of tampons. The applicators were really bad. I won't explain except to say they were cardboard. Couldn't use them because of the applicators, so......... I reused (and washed out each time of course) a better brand applicator made of plastic in order to use up that particular box.

Any questions?

Jigsaw puzzles with missing pieces. I stack the boxes up and toss a table cloth on top and use them for occasional tables. They won't hold much weight, but are fine for a coffee cup. I have also used stacks of jigsaw puzzle boxes to elevate the rear speakers for my surround sound system.

I've also built temporary furniture from miscellaneous wood, sturdy plastic or metal that other folks have left out for recycling. It's fun to do, and I have no guilt when I get bored of a piece and decide to replace it.

Old cake pans for dog dishes, they don;t mind.
Poly film bags for waste basket liners and poop scoops
In Mexico we get spices in baggies, I save small jars to hold them.
Half gallon plastic bottles, middle cut out makes a good pitcher
The neighbors use old tires to hold back soil erosion.

Mexico is country of re-users, we learn a lot from the people.

My family saves plastic containers from convenience foods...we keep them in the car and use them as replacement take-home boxes when we go out to eat. WAY better than the styrofoam boxes most places provide.

Bread Bags for wrapping sandwiches & leftovers
Silk yogurt cups for starting seedlings
Torn, old clothes for cleaning rags
Wine bottles for mosaics and candleholders or with a glass cutter you can turn them into a drinking glass.

Old tooth brushes for scrubing around corners
Juice jugs, for cold water
Coffee Grounds, for flowers or fishing worms
Old socks as rags

Lots of stuff, re-use of different items cuts down on waste. Not only saving money but helping Mother Earth.

Plastic vitamin bottles make little containers for small items like tacks, rubber bands, buttons, etc. Make sure to tear the label off , then write what's in the bottle.

Old magazines, I re-use them by giving them to my best friend to use on her rabbits cage for the bottom [instead of newspaper] cause she used to use paper towels, and change it nearly EVERYDAY, so now she used my old magazine pages which last a bit longer clean :] And it looks much more stylish too, lol!

I reuse everything; and keep on using things until they are all used up. The weirdest thing I reuse are probably my vacuum cleaner bags. These get dumped out and reused two more times; then finally get relegated to doggie do do duty.
