Did it just come upon you one day? A couple years ago i was sick so at about 3 am i get up to use the toilet and as i'm sitting there doing my thing i get a really intense sharp pain right under my left armpit. i tried to ignore it and went back to bed. But as hard as i tried i couldn't fall back the pain hurt like a Mofo, so i went to the E.r. and sure enough it was phenomena, my lung had collapsed due to fluid buildup right while on the john!!

ps if it were cancer youd be coughing up blood/phlem. But that is also a symptom of really bad phenomena if you feel weak and turn pale like a ghost get medical attention now Asap it could be fatal.

It could be that or it could be so many other things, maybe serious, maybe not serious at all. My late wife had lung cancer, and the way she first noticed there was a problem was pain in the back of her ribcage when riding on a recumbent bicycle (one of those exercise bikes you lean back to ride, feet out in front of you). She talked to the doctor, who sent her for chest x-rays, then more tests once he saw the x-rays, and that's how we found out. Seeing a doctor right away surely bought her several extra months, or if it hadn't been cancer it would have given her tremendous peace of mind.
I hope you get it checked out very soon, and I hope everything goes well!

could be some of the above, sounds like it could be a disruption in the plueral lining around the lung, often time the fluid (surfacant) that seperates the viseral and perintennial pluera become worn (especcially if you smoke) and cause pain upon inhalation.you should really go to your doctor or ER and get an xray

Maybe a pneumothorax (ruptured lung). I had a ruptured lung two years ago due to a lung infection that I didn't know about, but I felt it when the lung ruptured. It felt like it poped. After that I felt a sharp pain and pressure when I would breathe. But it hurt all of the time. Just another idea, dunno.

You mean breathe? Well it may be a rib fracture, or a strained muscle, in any case get thee to a clinic. At least tell school nurse, she'll tell you to go to clinic.

cancer is called a silent killer because you really can't feel it. It's prolly something else.
