I have been experiencing chest pain/tightness, i had an anxiety attack that made me feel like i was having a heart attack, i attended casualty had an ECG and the DR said that everything was fine. The symptoms continued and i attended my GP who told me this was down to stress. The thing is that i dont consciously feel stressed out, there is no particular event that stresses me out so i dont understand how the DR can say this. But when it happens i show the classic signs, distrubed breathing/fear/anxiety i become withdrawn etc. It just seems to come from nowhere, i get it at work sometimes however i also get it at night sometimes, totally random. Does anyone else experience this? is it stress? what is it????

Stress is one possible cause of the panic/anxiety attacks that you are experiencing. Stress can come from anything and you may not be consciously aware of the stress. Stress isn't the only possible cause, though. Panic/anxiety attacks can also be caused by your genetics, hormones, drugs, medications, alcohol, and/or caffeine. There are also other causes that doctors and psychologists have not yet identified.

If your attacks continue, you will want to seek treatment for the attacks from a healthcare professional. If left untreated, a person can begin to develop phobias and other problems that may interrupt one's life. My father is 64 years old and has suffered from anxiety and panic since he was a teen. I think it may have been brought on by his parents divorce plus his genetics. He has refused to get treatment and deal with the issue. Throughout my whole life, he has been afraid to leave his house except to go to work. He will not go on vacation, he's afraid of public places, he has obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, suffers from paranoia, and is very negative. You don't want to turn into this, so if your attacks continue....seek treatment. Medication and cognitive therapy are the most popular treatments.

Yes and something or some one is unsetting your rest
I would not listen to doctors on this one and keep a journal of how you get really stressed and what is around you...Your surroundings can hype you up...Colors can hype you up
It is said at work a bland tan off white cubicle will help you get your work done because your work is suddenly very interesting...My high school had no windows in study forum and I was shocked to how much reading and work I got done and I wanted to know WHY...
A clear room a clear mind....I need to follow that tip and clean mine...Got to
Go God Bless
