Don't believe everything you read.

I don't believe that 1/2 of people are dying from excess cholesterol. I admit it's a BIG problem, but I think what's killing us more than anything is that we Americans don't move much when we get home from work or on weekends. If we all exercised more, I think we would see a tremendous decline in heart disease regardless of weight.

It's a well known fact that fat people that exercise regularly are healthier than skinny people who don't.

Now there are studies taking place regarding internal or ORGAN fat that may completely change what we think about external fat.

This is a lab value that 50% of the normal population have and does not translate to lethality otherwise you can say that hypertension is defined as greater than 130/70mmgHg and above this is lethal or diabetes with a HgBA1C >7mg/dl is lethal.

Heart disease does not always mean clogged arteries. People who have heart diseae can blame it a lot on their genes. Womens hormones help protect them but when they reach a certain ages they can't produce those hormones that put them at risk. So its not all about the numbers!! If you want to watch your cholesterol...egg replacements taste good!!

Could we not conclude that about half of Americans have cholesterol over 200? That would be unhealthy.

Regardless, you gotta die of SOMETHING.

I suggest eating lots of high fiber, low fat foods, exercising regularly, and ignoring the numbers.

Oh, and take fish oil capsules to increase your good cholesterol level.
