Any shelled beans do (not green/string beans. Well, they have a little...but not enough to fool with.)

Soybeans/soy products (like edamame--shelled green soybeans, tofu, soymilk, etc.) have a lot of protein.

But any beans do--black beans, refried pinto beans, kidney beans, garbanzos, etc. They have a lot of carbs, a lot of fiber, a lot of protein, and not much fat.

They're a good choice for vegans/vegetarians, though they're a little tricky if you're doing a low-carb diet. But they're worth the carb count.

Kidney beans are supposed to be good for you, but if they have protein, I'm not sure.
The best beans are probably the ones you cook from scratch such as green beans.

They all contain protein but if you're looking for beans that are rich in iron (a vegetarian need), eat baked beans. One tin of those gives you all the iron you need for a day.

Any dry bean is loaded with protein. Pinto beans are delicious, and soy beans have the most protein and everything else.

All are loaded with fiber too!

All beans have protein. Kidney beans: 8grams per 184g serving; black beans 11g per 200g, etc... I don't really think it matters. just eat what you like.
