I also want you to tell me if you are aware of the risks (if you smoke) about smoking and what substances do you think it has?

Well this is a smoker answering this question. I started smoking socially a few years ago. No problems just buy a pack and then I can go a while before I buy another pack. But that is different now. I am now addicted to nicotene and whenever I try to quit I get withdrawal symptoms-craving for cigs, the shakes, feels like somebody punched me in the face. So it is bad in that case. There are health risks such as lung cancer. I have been successful in using the commit losengers (spelling). But they do cost money, when I don't have the money to buy them then I have to go back to cigs. So my advice, if you are thinking about smoking, don't. If I do quit full-time then I am going to take the money I would have spent on cigs each week and buy myself something. A little motivation for me to quit.

I have been smoking since I was 16 (I'm 18 now). I have always enjoyed smoking and still do. The smell, taste, everything. I usually smoke about a pack to a pack and a half a day. I know how bad smoking is, and wouldn't recommend anyone to start. But for me, I like it and am not planning on quitting anytime soon.

dude, their arent many upsides to smoking, trust me i did it for 2 years. Smoking can not only kill u in the long run but can slow you down in the future. If you do it once a month or only at parties you should be okay, but when you start smoking everyday you will run short on breath, stink, and cough constantly. when i smoked there were a couple times when i coughed until i threw up.

But what you dont know is that the ciggarettes dont directly make you cough. they paralyze your sylia, a natural air filter for your lungs. So what you are coughing up is dirt and in air polutents. You will also not be as good at sports because you will not be able to take deep breathes.

As for whats in ciggarettes, not just tobbacco.
Ammonia, a chemical put in household cleaners, is added to add flavor to the tobacco. Embalming glue is also use to glue the paper together. The filter is made out of styrofoam.
If you insist on smoking then make sure that you do not remove the filter because it makes the ciggarette seven times as harmful.

The tabacco itself contains nicotine, a natural poison in the plant ment to protect it, which is why it causes cancer

I don't care about the substances, what I care about is that it plugs up your lungs

I have about 30% lung capacity, my mobility is limited.

Some claim if you stop your lungs will clear, some say it takes 10 years some say it will never happen

One the worst parts is giving up a day per week waiting on 02 delievery, can't go to some stores cause employees are hanging aroung the front entrance smoking

Makes it tough to do the liplock till your cloths fall off
thang.

One of the biggest regrets of my life was smoking

I think smoking is bad. It is bad for the smoker, the environment, and everyone around the smoker. Cigarettes contain lots of chemical substances. Why would you voluntarily put those into your body? Smoking causes many health problems like emphysema and many kinds of cancers.... STAY AWAY FROM SMOKING!!!

I do think smoking is bad for you. I quit about 2 months ago and so has my husband. It's hard because it was an addiction. We are very aware that it is harmful and that is why we quit. I don't smell it on my clothes or hair anymore and we both have that cig taste in our mouths. We also quit for health reasons. We made a good choice.

I think that smoking is a terrible thing. That said though you can't change what other people do to themselves. You can only give them the facts and understand that they have to make the decision.
