A slice of fresh fruit(s) in season. This will balance the sweet of the cake. Also guests who have diet or sugar problems would enjoy this.
Three days before buy the fruit at the market. This will give the fruit time to ripen. Place the fruit on a cookie sheet lined with paper towels. Put in a window.
The days before the party, clean the fruit, put in ziplock bags. Put the bags in the refrigerator or in an ice chest.
Enjoy,
Chris C.

Berries - fresh strawberries or raspberries would be pretty with a small dollop of whipped cream and a mint leaf.
