Your friend may be correct that he has to eat every 2 hours but I think a blood sugar level of 0 is impossible. I have heard of type I diabetics dropping into the 20s. They may lose conciosness at that point.

No. It should not and it is not. While fasting it should be 80 to 110 mg /dl 2 hours after principal food at noon (Lunch) it should be between 100 to 140 mg /dl and at other times in between meals it should be between 80 to 120 mg /dl. If it goes below 60 mg/ dl the person may go for coma. So the blood sugar level should be maintained in the body levels for the health as well as for the nutrition of the all the body cells so that they may live.

It probably doesn't go down to zero but maybe it gets low. A person would seize and be very critical at a zero blood sugar. He probably has hypoglycemia and requires food frequently (every 2 hrs is recommended)

I have diabetes, and when it's beetween 60 and 35 you don't fall in a coma, when your sugar is high or low, you experience headaches, sweating, drinking alot of water or soda, blurry vision, anger problems or mood swings. Even loss of cordination. But usually when your'e sugar drop to 50 or 55, you start feeling these symptoms. Also you may urineate alot, and feel very tired. When you feel tired, don't fall asleep, your'e friend should check her sugar. Hope i helped

If your blood sugar was zero you 'd be dead.
Your friend may be right about needing to eat frequently though. Some people with diabetes or hypoglycemia are better managed with small frequent meals. Your friend may be doing what he has found works best for his situation.
God bless

A person with a glucose level of zero would not be conscious; after a few minutes at this level, they would have permanent brain damage; and after a few more minutes they would die. Most people start to have difficulty functioning when their glucose levels drop to 50 mg/dL or lower--they start to experience things like lethargy, slurred speech, headaches, low blood pressure and loss of coordination.
