Why not try a church in your area. A lot of them have fellowship halls that can be large enough to hold that number of guests. Also, they will not charge you as much as a banquet hall would.

Late August might be cutting it close on trying to find a location with availability.....
But that said, I agree with the previous answer. Along those lines you may want to add in a local American Legion, asking if they have a hall you can rent.

Also, try checking into local restaurants....A lot of times they have the facilities for large parties and at a much lower rate than traditional "banquet" halls/"reception" sites.

Good luck & Congratulations on your Anniversary!

i could look in Los Feliz. it quite is adjoining to Hollywood, Silver Lake, etc...Cool places for little ones to stay and grasp out-sort of imaginitive communities. it continues to be on the threshold of each and every thing, yet is clean, risk-free and has a splash suburban sense. you would be close to Griffith Park, and Glendale for paying for, and a hop, and a pass from the main freeways. do not hear to all of the doom and gloom. yet persons are precise. No way will you get a 2 BR for $900. In my fatherland I had a spacious a million mattress room, here I even have what's stated as a "single" different places call an performance. that's a million room + kitchen+ tub. In different words-no mattress room. which you may get for $900. you may could desire to downgrade your expectancies. you may desire to stay on the Hollywood hotel 6 while you seek for interest and apt. greater suitable save somewhat some $$ in the previous you come. good luck. p.s. in case you prefer to be closer to the coastline, look in Culver city. lower back, generally risk-free, clean, good for roommates. nevertheless on the threshold of each and every thing.

Many VFW and Knights of Columbus halls will rent their space pretty cheaply. Call them. You may also consider a public park w/ a large pavillion that you can reserve, for little or no money.
