I have been getting these now and then for many years, lately it's been a couple a month. It's a pimple like spot on my inner labia. Never anywhere else. I get one at a time. It's small, painful, and hard like a pimple. Sometimes I can get it to pop like a pimple. Just recently my BF showed me a spot he had on his penis. I have looked and looked on the internet but can't find anything that fits the description. Does anyone have an idea?

I had a normal Pap two months ago...don't know if that helps. It is only one bump at a time, the pictures I've seen of herpes has been many open sores. Mine is not open.

It may be embarrassing but you need to have a Dr look at it to be sure. I visited the Dr once for this and was happy to learn it was just an ingrown hair. So, make an appointment ASAP.

Its not herpes. It was a pimple. Keep the area dry and soak in tea tree baths to prevent it from refilling and reappearing. Tea tree (pure and undiluted) is strong so only a few drops at a time in the bath. Or if it is easier get a tea tree bar of soap and wash that area every day to prevent more pimples from coming.

It could be anything causing them, from a harmless vaginal bacteria, hormone fluctuation or simply shaving in the general labial area, but get it checked out, especially considering the spot on your boyfriend's penis. If you contracted an STD, you need to know so that you can get it cleared up, or learn how to manage it, preserve your reproductive health, and maintain quality of life. Good luck.

Ps. Despite the normal pap results, you really need to get a second evaluation, otherwise I think your gyn would've been able to explain away the bumps. And again, no worries, it could be completely normal, but you need confirmation from a professional to be sure.

Sounds like an infected gland. We have these little glands all over and around our vagina, once they get infected and fill up they reoccur. As long as white stuff is coming out your OK. When you get one leave it alone and go the the GYN and have them check it and culture it to be safe. Its better to get it checked sooner than later.
