If you read the container, it says ultra-pasteurised, which increases the shelf life.
This may not be a good thing, since it reduces the nutritional value of the milk. But it allows the producer to ship milk longer distances and be more profitable.

Freezy67, even regardless of the undeniable fact that i'm into unfastened variety and organic and organic, this factor you have dropped at my interest i've got no longer observed earlier. I now and back %. up my meat slaughtered on the farm, whilst i'm there I %. up milk, i come across the organic and organic greater creamier. yet that's my opinion. Chris

I noticed this too. While I don't know the answer to that - I do know that my daughter, who is lactose intolerant, can drink about 4 oz of organic milk and not get the stomach aches and cramping she gets from regular milk.

I have not noticed that it lasts longer. I always check the "sell by" date on the bottle and the organic does not have a later date than the regular milk.

Organic milk does not have a longer shelf life unless it is concentrated organic milk, then it does.

That's a great question! I've often wondered the same thing. It's not due to chemicals since certified organic milk doesn't contain chemicals. I'm thinking it is probably the extra care that goes into it, or maybe the grass... I dunno.

I have not noticed this. It may be based on the brand. If it is an ultra pasturized product, that would be why. It also may be the different chemicals used.

I wondered that too. It might be because all the crap they put in regular milk makes it go bad quicker.

Because the grass the cows eat isn't sprayed with pesticides and stuff and there are no chemicals put in the milk to help it taste better and stuff.
