The light crunchy stuff or the dark leafy stuff?

Anyone with half a brain would know that dark lettuce is much better. The light stuff is stringy and when you get a stem it's disgusting. Caesar salads with stems are nasty.

Darks..especially mixes like continental or spring mix. Endive is a great spicy addition in many mixes. Lighter lettuces typically dont have the flavors or nutrients the darker ones will have, but I think they have there place and should/could be used at least partly with some dishes.
-I used to hate the thick crunchy stems of iceberg, but now I've seem to have developed a liking of the texture/flavor.

The rule of thumb is that the lighter the lettuce the less vitamins and minerals. Iceberg lettuce had very little nutritional value. Darker colors can be sweet, crunchy and have many more vitamins and minerals in them. I love Redleaf, Oakleaf, Buttercrunch, Romaine and Oakleaf or Red Oakleaf myself. A real treat is baby lettuce mix or a baby herb mix. Add Mesclun, Arugula and some Mustard leaf. Mmmm.

The darker green letuce is much better for you and has more flavor. Light lettuce is mostly water and has very little nutritional value.

I like dark,

When I make a burger, I like the lighter lettuce on it, just makes it taste better!

But if its a Chicken Ceaser Salad, then I like the greener cuts.

I prefer darker lettuce or actually no lettuce. It doesn't contain that much nutrition for it to be worth my while.

Dark leafy. It's SO much better for you! It also tastes better, IMHO.
