Yeah a bunch of people are really scared by the notion of global warming, and they'll make up all sorts of garbage to justify not believing it's so. Human minds are so funny.

No thank you. I'll stick with driving my cheap gas-friendly sedan about once a month, while walking everywhere else, or combining trips with my husband's work calls and visits. Also, it's my understanding that hybrids are only practical and worth it if one does a lot of highway driving.

You can also choose to walk or if the place is far away arrange a carpool with yourself and others like yourself so that whatever you need can be gotten all at once. Less gas used, more needs fulfilled.
