My sisters are preparing a brunch and I'm coming from out of town. They are handling most of the food preparation, but maybe I can buy a dessert or a drink of some kind?

How about buying an Angel Food Cake and some Cool Whip and some strawberries, raspberries or blue berries (or all 3 ) to eat with it?

Go to panera and get a cpl of Asiago cheese demi loaves or several everything or other savory bagel and ask them to cut the bread or the bagels thin. Buy 2 kinds of dipping oil or bagel dip, ranch flavor or something similar.
Bring a bowl from home for the dip or pick up a small one at Mal mart and put it on a throw away tray.
Why?
Everyone likes bread, you will not be bringing anythink that wont keep and when the meal is over there is something tha t the host can use.

Sopapilla Cheesecake
2 cans crescent roll dough
2 packages cream cheese
1.5 cups sugar
1 stick of butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon

spray a 9x13 pan with non stick spray, spread out 1 package crescent roll dough and pinch to close any wholes. Cream together 1 c sugar, vanilla and cream cheese. Spread on top of crescents. Spread the second can of crescent on top of the cream cheese, doing the same with the wholes. Melt the one stick of butter and take off heat, add the 1/2 cup sugar that remains, and the cinnamon. Stir, then pour on top of the crescents, move the pan around so that the butter mixture evenly coats the dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Delicious and can be made in 10 minutes and bake while your eating so it is hot when your ready for dessert.

You should probably just ask your sisters what you can do to help. Are you walking in the door just at the time brunch begins, or arriving early so you can help? I would think the help would be appreciated. I don't know if you're flying and have no car when you get there, or if you're driving. But if you're driving, stop and pick up a bottle of champagne and some orange juice... you can make some mimosas, and still be there to help out. Or if you don't have a car, maybe something can take you so you can make a quick stop at the liquor store, etc.

(No Cool Whip!! Pick up the whipping cream and make real whipped cream, but a good idea.)

In the boxed cake isle you can find muffin mixes. Find the one that is cinnamon muffins made with cinnabon cinnamon. It tastes just like homemade. You can make these the day before and of course they travel well. You could bring along a crate of strawberries too if you wanted.

I suppose you could. It is always wise to ask or mention ahead of time what you want to bring though so it's done twice.
