Hmm "eating animals is fine but eating a cat or dog would be wrong"

What complete sh*te, no offence to the poster of this bizarre comment.

People try and justify a meat eating diet by saying "man rules the earth and everything is here for us to eat" and "we were 'made' to eat meat" yet everything humanity says and does suggests differently. Do humans salivate whilst looking at a canary, wanting to sink their teeth in and rip out the canaries guts? Does a cat? Yes. Do humans cringe at the sight of blood? Yes. Most people wont even look at a slaughter house video, yet a cat or dog would go crazy at the sight and smell of blood!

I don't believe that humans have the bodies, digestive systems or the natural hunting instincts to be meat eaters (guns and knives aren't natural tools- giant canines, claws and amazing speed are). That's my opinion.

You either love the smell and taste of raw flesh and blood.... or you don't. You either have the ability to hunt down a wild animal and kill it with your bare hands... or you don't.

When's the last time you saw a wild animal, such as lynx, tracking down and killing a rabbit.... and then cuddling up with his best mate, a chicken?

So anyway, is killing an animal murder? I consider killing a healthy creature against its will (whether human or animal) murder, yes. The animal doesn't want to die. Factory farmed animals are born into misery, treated cruelly, then slaughtered.

All healthy living things want to live.

A paedophile somewhere considers children are there for him to abuse at his pleasure. There are violent men and women who think nothing of beating their fellow man. There are rapists who see women as there for them to rape. These people are all presuming that other people are THERE for THEIR USE. Do any of the victims want this to happen to them? No. Well neither do animals.

Well legally murder is the intentional and unjustifiable killing of a human. Therefore legally killing an animal for food isn't murder.

Morally I'd say it was though as it is so unnecessary due to the fact that we can eat a perfectly healthy diet using plants only.

Why cause unecessary suffering to animals when we have the means and ways of living meat free?
It just doesnt make sense, its only because for so many people it has become a social 'norm' and a completly unecessary one at that. Have you ever seen war of the worlds where humans are processed to provide fertiliser for the aliens? It was sickening to think a species could do that to another, yet humans are causing misery and suffering to animals for their taste buds. Animals have been proven to sense fear and pain just as we do if fact pigs at the age of 7 weeks are more intellegent than your average 7 week puppy. People are so quick to eat meat, yet I have found when I explain how the animals are killed and treated they dont want to know about it and tell me to shut up. It is cruel and evil.

Yes animals are put on this planet to live but people are used to thinking its normal but its not people dont see animals have feelings and can feel just like humans. How can u think shooting an animal and chopping its head off and taking its guts out and all yellow and blood coming out and chopping it to pieces and selling the meat for a measly few quid normal when the animal can live a life

sure, peta considers killing an animal to be homicide. by definition, homicide demands the act to be unlawful and to be finished on a human as nicely. Peta believes that people no longer could desire to kill animals to outlive, that we are able to get our foodstuff from different materials (which isn't precisely actual.) A lion although won't be able to try this. no longer merely is it a carnivore, even though it has no different source of nutrition than in spite of it may catch. Peta additionally has this ordeal with prepared to make all considerable different and young ones animals extinct.

Murder is an intentional, unlawful killing of another human being, so killing a non-human animal would by definition, not be murder.
I'm still not going to kill or harm an animal for food though, regardless of what it's called.

Have you heard The Smiths song "Meat is murder" ?

Murder is really killing something against it's will so really it's the same for animals, isn't it?

I think that the killing isn't the problem as such - a lot of killing happens in nature for survival. It's the amount we kill and the extreme cruelty the animals go through.

I wouldn't say killing an animal is murder.

Since the dawn of time animals have killed other animals for food....I know I'll pry catch some flack for this one but that is my opinion.

I feel humans are animals to we have just evolved some over the years. I do think some slaughterhouses treat the animals inhumanely and should be punished for their crimes.

I don't agree that we were not made to eat me I feel it is a personal coice not to do so and I don't think people should be mocked because they choose to not eat eat or animal products....and I do not think the vegan and vegetarian community should mock us meat heads either...

on another note Midsojo using pedaphiles to prove his point is COMPLETELY ridiculous...you should be ashamed of yourself making such a ludicrous comparison tsk,tsk

Nope. Killing an animal just to kill it still isn't murder. It's unnecessary, but not murder.

Murder is the killing of a human being.
