It is the Cauldren lincolnshire type. Forgot to check the date, shall I go for it?

I agree. Especially if they're frozen, they should be cool. Earlier in my pregnancy, I at some frozen veggie dogs that I had had for a very long time, and they moved with me last August. I don't know how frozen they stayed in the move, but they did stay cold. Had I thought they would have posed some harm to my baby, I would have not eaten them.

Before my pregnancy, I would eat things a few days after the date. My MIL is one of those people who thinks that the food literally, instantly goes bad at midnight on the date. (Meaning, that if the date on the package is May 12, then the second the clock strikes midnight, the food goes bad.) We've gotten a few good things from my FIL who has given us the food in order to rescue it. And we're still standing.

Yeah, if it openly looks or tastes funky, don't eat it.

Should be fine for a while. If it's a "best before" date, then the manufacturers are really just not making any promises about it after that point, but it doesn't mean it actually will be a problem. And they build plenty of leeway into their dates to cover themselves. As others have said, if it looks and smells okay, you'll be fine.

yes they're OK.

they usually give U a few days... (like a wk) leeway, for people like me who wait til the due date.

veggie products are already cooked when they are prepared & packaged. they come to your grocer's freezer as frozen, to help keep the "fresh" status from the packager.

if it comes from a can, still should be OK. those are also pre-cooked before packaging.

it's the real meat stuff that U have to watch the due dates very closely.

cook well.

The dates are for the shops to use by law. Food is often ok several days after its sell by date!

I've eaten that precise brand further out of date than a single day, I'm going to wager that you'll be okay as well. But remember the drill with out of date food, you've got to smell it in its uncooked state. If it smells bad, bin it. Simple as that...

The best before date is a guide.Use your common sense.

They are not meat so there is much less chance of catching an illness if they are slightly out of date.If they look and smell ok eat them.

Yes they should be if there are not wearing a watch and checking for the date!
If they smell ok then they are ok.

They'll be fine for ages after the date, so long as they've been kept fridged or frozen.

Most things are okay one day out of date, especially if they weren't opened way ahead of time.
