Probably not. the use of whale oil is what got many of the great whales in extinction trouble. And now our energy demands are even higher.

If whales had a much higher reproduction rate and could be harvested sustainably in large volumes, it would be a great idea. Unfortunately for this idea, that just isn't the case.

Do you actually use kerosene regularly? Whale oil is most likely not an option unless you have an abundant supply to share.

NO! Whaling is illegal. The Save the Whales program has been around for more than 30 years FOR A REASON.

There aren't enough whales to supply the world's whale oil needs. We were running out of whales even after those newfangled lightbulbs got invented.

Use lava lamps in lieu of whale oil.

'We' never have used whale oil to light anything.

I think you should investigate using solar panels and efficient lightbulbs to light your home with electricity. If you also put in a geothermal furnace/air conditioning unit, you will only depend on the grid for cooking fuel.

Yah. Too many fat people around. Now to find a way to get a bulb to use the human fat as fuel instead of electricity.
