Technically it's illegal to share prescriptions.

I had genital warts a little over a year ago and I used Aldara to treat them. I had some packets left over so I held on to them just in case I developed warts again. Luckily they have never came back for me, but about 6 months ago my fiance developed them. Since he doesn't have insurance, we both decided to just have him try the remaining packets of Aldara I had. He used them, and within a few weeks they had disappeared.

If your husband can see a doctor then that is probably the best thing to do. But, using Aldara certainly won't hurt him as long as what he is treating is really genital warts and he is using the medication correctly (because it can actually cause 2nd and 3rd degree burns if used wrong).

Good luck!

Aldara is the treatment of choice (prescription wise) for genital warts. Your husband could use this same medication IF he has visible warts and IF his doctor is made aware that he will be using this medication. Also, please make sure you have enough medication to complete an entire course of this yourself. Often you need to use this medicine for several weeks! Hope this helps!

It is illegal to give a prescription meant for one person to another person. Ask your doc if your hubby can have a script.
