Sure, its possible. A fellow at work gets 3 or 4 moderate chest pains weekly. I now have a lot of brief needle-like pains in my heart area, almost daily.
Each stent just opens a particular arterial section. You can have lots more blockages or small muscle spasms that affect other small arteries.
I shared some french fries three weeks ago, and had more pains in a week, than I'd had in a year.
We both have had a 3x bypass and two stents.

How long ago did you have them put in? Do the pains get better or worse with different things (for example, heavy physical activity or resting)? My father had 2 stents put in about 6 months ago and still has chest pains from it. However, he has been recently diagnosed with a nerve disease where his nerves don't ever really "shut off". They continually send pain signals to his brain. If these pains become intense, or get worse while resting, GET YOURSELF TO A DOCTOR ASAP. By the way, I am also an emergency medical technician.

Call an ambulance and get to your local ER *NOW* if you are having chest pains unrelieved by GTN/ anginine. It could be a clot, a restenosis of your stent, or a vasospasm. Whatever is the ultimate cause, chest pain is a serious indicator of potential damage to cardiac muscle and requires emergent management.
Do NOT mess around with this.

My (young) husband has two stents also. He occasionally will have chest pain and has to take a Nitro. Have you had a heart attack?

Sometimes the vessels can spasm after this procedure. It would still be wise to have this checked out by your cardiologist. Only he/she can confirm that this is what it is. All chest pain should be taken seriously. Never dally around with it.
