do you know of anyone who has died with sudden arrythmia death syndrome ? i would like to know how many people have actually had a friend, family , or heard of death by this cause ..
i lost a daughter aged 20 yrs in 2003 to this syndrome and still it is happening more and more ..doctors say it is rare ..but i dont feel 8 deaths a week is RARE!! and that estimate is only as the deaths that go down as s-a-d-s by the coroner ..
i would be interested to hear from people who have had to deal with losing to such a condition ...
many thanks

My aunt died of that when I was really young... she was about 30 years old. Her best friend died of the same thing when they were children. It is a shock because somehow you don't believe that it exists in the first place, surely there was something else, or someone to blame... but there never really is. I'm sorry that you had to experience that as well, it was a very traumatic thing to go through.

Hi. I'm really sorry for your loss. My younger sister died in 1998 aged just 17 from sudden adult death syndrome. We have never been given an actual cause of death, which makes it even harder.
as you mention it is not as rare as people think and more should be done.
If you want to get in touch, please feel free.

First of all please accept my heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of your daughter, at such a young age.
According to CRY statistics virtually 8 deaths occurs every week in normal looking subjects who are undiagnosed case of cardiac disease, cause is announced after coroners reports.

I am sorry for you loss it must have been devastating. I have not lost anyone to S.A.D.S., but I have lost someone very suddenly and unexpected and it does leave a lot of unanswered questions.
Please find below a link to SADS website you may get more information to help you on there:

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I hope time will make your sadness easier to bear. I don't know anything about SADS but because of your post will educate myself and be more aware of this.
P.S. I am also sorry we must endure insensitive jerks like the posting just before mine!
