I have been having sex with my partner for around 5 months now and before her, I was a virgin. She says she gets tested every year for STD/STI's and does not have any but last week, I noticed what look like one or two small red little bumps on my penis (right under the head) and I thought they would go away. It is still red in this area and I put neosporin on it lightly and it is irritating it somewhat when I urinate.

My question is: Is it possible that I had an STD even though I was a virgin before my partner and she says

It's highly unlikely, but it's always possible.

Most STDs are spread by some kind of sexual contact whether it be by sex (vaginal, oral or anal) or by DIRECT skin to skin contact with an infected area.

There are STDs out there that can be spread by direct skin to skin contact like genital herpes and HPV. "Dry humping" can spread both of these viruses, even if there was no sex involved.

Also, people can be born with STDs but this is EXTREMELY rare.

The only for sure way to know if you have an STD or not is to get tested. You can go to your doctor or any local STD clinic or Planned Parenthood.

Good luck to you!

What STD's is your partner being tested for? I know she isn't getting tested for everyone of them because that would cost thousands of dollars. I know, I'm a nurse and worked womens health. The bumps could be something called mollescum. People never get a test for these. A doctor does a visual exam to make the diagnosis. I saw people with this on a near daily basis. It is an STD and you will always have it. You can have the bumps burned off, but you can still pass on the disease. Never trust anyone that says they get tested for all STD's every year.
