malay spices is more from Indian spices because Malacca ( before 1511 ) is a port for trading activities and the most popular in this world ( that time ) and the traders came from Arab, India & China...
Examples :
Buah pelaga (cardamon)
Bunga lawang (Star anise)
Cengkih (Clove / Syzygium aromaticum)
Halba (Fenugreek / Trigonella foenum-graecem)
Halia (Ginger)
Jintan Manis (???? -dunno)
Jintan putih (Anise / Pimpinella anisum)
Ketumbar (Coriander / Coriandrum sativum)
Koma-koma (Saffron / Crocus sativus)
Kulit kayu manis ( Cinnamomum / Cinnamomum zeylanicum)
Kunyit (Turmeric / Curcuma longa)
Lada Hitam (Black Peppers / Piper nigrum )

P/S : Spices in Bahasa Melayu a.k.a. Malay Language ( Malaysia ) is rempah-ratus & all name of spices in my list is in Bahasa Melayu from Malaysia and not Bahasa Melayu from Indonesia

Ginger, soy sauce and garlic are the three most popular. Ginger is good for your stomach and garlic may or may not be good for you. Soy is salt so it is just for pleasure. Don't forget the tea if you want good health.
