Yes, that is normal. As long as he is feeling ok, i wouldn't worry about it at all. The normal resting heart rate for an adult is 60-100 beats per minute. If my child's heart rate was in the 50's i'd be worried. But, 100 is perfectly normal.

That's normal. A friend and I took her daughter (6) in for what we suspected was strep throat and a 103 fever... and the MA took her pulse when we got there, and it was 160! So she went out and got the doctor right away and by the time he came back, it was down to 140, and he said it was due to the fever, but 140 was okay as long as it was on its way down... so I'm thinking 100 isnt really high.... I know my resting bpm is in the 90's.

Yes, that is too high. Children do have higher resting heart beat than an adult, but not by much. An ideal resting heart rate would be around 50-75.

I think it sounds pretty normal. Kids' pulses rates are faster than adults. Especially a kid that just finished playing ball. keep an eye on him and watch for any unusual symptoms. He'll probably be fine.

If he got hit hard in the chest, I'd go to the dr. if he's not feeling well.

Well little kids heart rates are usually a little higher then adults. I dont think its anything to worry about. If he starts to have trouble breathing or anything then worry but it sounds like a normal kid.
