A sarong. A rectangular piece of cloth that can be wrapped around as a skirt or used as a blanket or towel. A sari is Indian I believe and a lot more complicated! I take a sarong with me wherever I travel as they are so versatile.

yes it's called a sarong, and it's malay, not malaysian. malaysian is a nationality. there are chinese in malaysia too, but they're not malays.
