Isiah 14:12 for the reference on Lucifer being the morning star. Or Star of the morning. Here's the link that I used to find it for you. http://www.lds-mormon.com/lucifer.shtml

Okay, I find the Sun god reference interesting, as you've brought together a common factor between Jesus and Lucifer. want to say more?

Wouldn't it be funny, if we had a rebellious son on our hands? How would that be for putting the collective out on it's ear?

Before the Christians devilized him, Lucifer was the Etruscan sun god (and later the god of Italian witches) - not a good fit for an alleged 'prince of darkness.'

Jesus was, in a way, also a sun god - sun gods are born at winter solstice, die and are reborn.

Lucifer was once the most beautiful created being in heaven so at that time the label morning star does seem appropriate though I cannot find a reference in the Bible for it (perhaps you could provide one). Jesus is the bright and morning star (Rev 16). I think this refers to His importance. He is the first and last, the alpha and omega, the beginning and end. These references are His for all time.

Lucifer was the light bringer for Christ. He was favored by God until he felt that he was an equal. God, being a jealous god cast him out.
Christ is referred to as the Morning Star because he is the "light of the world."
