I have had two abnormal pap smears and two colposcopys over the last 6 years.

The first one was when I was 17 years old. It was pre-cancerous cells which eventually turned into cervical cancer. I was so scared I would never be able to have children of my own, but my doctor said I would be fine. I had part of my cervix removed and was told the only complication I might have would be having a premature baby. I was told I'd probably be on bed rest most of my pregnancy.

Pre-cancerous cells shouldn't stop you from having any children. Just stay on top of your pap smears and try and stay healthy. You don't want it to turn into cervical cancer!

Good luck to you!

From what Ive learned, you CAN have more children but you must deal with the HPV first. It can go into remission and you CAN begin to have normal pap tests come back. Did they do a colonoscopy? This can tell you how bad the situation is and depending on this you can remove the cancerous cells before they become dangerous.

Good luck and if any future tests show you that it is no longer there then your fine. If they do, it just requires further testing to help you find a way to fix things. Hope this helps ;)

Please, please comprehend that having HPV would not propose you have maximum cancers. the probability is particularly very small. as quickly as I had a rare pap years in the past I freaked... i did not tell all and sundry because of the fact i develop into specific it develop into maximum cancers and that i needed to 'morn' myself for slightly. while i ultimately broke down and informed my mom it grew to become out the two she and my aunt had a similar issue... with *NO* maximum cancers ever exhibiting up. lower back as quickly as I had this the proceedures have been diverse... i don't be attentive to in the event that they ever particularly did an entire out 'biopsy'... they only scraped some cells which they examined and found to be 'precancerous' (i'm guessing that equals HPV... i be attentive to it develop into HPV and so i'm guessing that's what they meant by this term). Then they did a 'freezing therapy' that's not carried out and had me get greater regularly occurring paps for the subsequent 300 and sixty 5 days or 2. It in no way lower back in any respect and it is been over 10 yrs. be at liberty to digital mail in case you think of chatting greater could help... yet particularly that develop into the tip of the story for me and from what I hear that's *very regularly* the case. :) desire that facilitates!

Sure, I have had those also. Do what your doctor advises. I had something called a LEEP procedure done and I am fine. You also need to be tested for HPV

a lot of people are carrieres of HPV...some develop genital warts and some dont.
you can have children and not pass it on to them...

Yes, it is. They can remove the cells with a laser and it is safe for you to have children as far as I know. I am not a doctor, though, so you may want to check with him/her.
