I been on famvir for 2 weeks now. I was taking 500mg twice a day. And Now I am taking 500mg a day and when I finish my 2 month supply I am goin to start valtrex once a day. I have HSV 1 and on my genitals too. But past few days i been feeling like my face is a little hot. I did get a lil rash on my neck and it was itching bad, might been from changing shaving creams. and my doc gave me acne mediciine and it cleared up. But i feel lil droswsy. Is any 1 taking famvir daily too? Any complications?

I've taken Famvir on two different occasions when I've had genital herpes outbreaks.
Both times I took them for a week or so until my outbreak went away. I never had any problems or complications with the drug though (probably because I only took it for a week).
After that, I switched to acyclovir for my outbreaks. I don't take it every day though, just when I am having an outbreak. I've found that taking acyclovir daily makes me nauseous and just feel basically like crap all day. So, I stopped taking it daily, and only take it when I get outbreaks. I've been outbreak free for over 2 years now.

There are possible side effects with all medications. See the info at the link below for more info on Famvir.
If you continue to experience side effects, talk to your doctor about trying one of the other herpes antivirals, they may not cause the same problems for you.
