I am In-love for the first time. I know it's not going to work out between us. My question is will I always be in love with her even after she's long gone., Or will these feelings I have for her simmer down and allow me to fall in love again. Will be tough to replace her!

I have to add, She's married. Not a god marriage to say the least. She says she will stick it out till the kids are older. They are triplets age 3.I love her kids as much, well almost as much as her.I raised 4 kids already and know what i'd be getting in to. and am ready to help her in any way when thy split. I just can't see being a misteress for 15 years!

You say your in love and yet your thinking about how hard it will be to replace her. I hate to burst your bubble but this isn't love. Its infatuation. When your in love you will want to go that extra mile to make it work. Do whatever it takes and yes you will always love her even when she is long gone. True love or great love as written by the poets is not something that ever simmers down, its something that grows stronger and stronger with every day that you spend with the one you love. Good luck, I hope you find it someday.

I think if you approach the relationship with "its going to end" the only thing your going to have when its over is regret for sabotaging what could have been a good first love with a negative attitude.

And no, you never forget the first one.

good luck in your life.you will find another love yes. it seems hard sometimes. over the years you might look back and think of your first love, I do sometimes. I wish them well and hope they have found someone too. some thing that you think about will make you smile years from now, a passing nice memory.

If you know it's not going to work then grow a pair and move on now. There will be someone else out there for you, not on yahoo answers though!

There will always be a part of you that will love her because of what she meant to you and things shared together. but Love can be found just around the corner or when your least expecting it.

You never forget your first love, but you do get over her.

You may even find in years to come that it wasnt actually love anyway.

who knows if it will work out or not, maybe you will be the one lucky guy who things worked out for.
know that if you ask Jesus he said he WILL give you the desires of your heart...maybe you're not a Christian but that's OK...why not try if it might work...IF that's what you want.
I am a very convinced that there is power in prayer...it worked for me it can work for you.
why not give it a chance?
