The test is easy...a simple swab inside your cheek is all that is necessary to test for antibodies to HIV.
Bear in mind that it can take up to 3 months or even longer for antibodies to turn up after you are first exposed to the virus.

Hi there,
Most tests for stds involve either simple blood work and/or urine samples. Some std tests do require a dry swab down the urethra. No that does not hurt but it's not too pleasant and the next few times you urinate it will be uncomfotable. Luckily, the burning sensation does not last long and in a day, maybe two, you won't notice a thing. In regards to the HIV, you need to wait at least 3 months after possible exposure before you get tested as there is a "window period" for the time it takes for the body to produce antibodies to the HIV virus. Any sooner can increase the chances of the test returning a "false positive" result.
Cheers.

a small vial , drawn with a needle, of blood can test for HIV/AIDS.
how ever for some STD tests a small wire is put into your penis and a small sample will be taken for analysis to test for some STDs Better to be checked now then worry and wait. yes probably
