There is NO age limit in having a heart attack! My daughter's ex-bf had a heart attack at 18, now mind you we think this was from taking too much Niacin to clean out his system of THC. However, the place i used to work at had a 10 year old little girl come in with a heart attack, she actually went on to have a transplant. She had no familial history, no birth defects, no warning at all. It just happened.
Hope this helps.

There is no deterrent age for a person to have a heart attack. It can happen any age and any time. If you are high risk of having a heart attack most likely you have to be very cautious and try to modify your lifestyle.

I had a patient who was 23 years old. He was very young but he died of a heart attack.

Well I'm 39 and had a heart attack February 2007; however, I'm also diabetic which puts me at a higher risk. It depends on your life style, diet, smoking, excess weight, high blood pressure are factors that increase chances of an attack. Keep a check on your cholesterol and triglycerides and keep your blood pressure under control, eat right and you'll do your heart a favor.

A heart attack is when oxygen does not get to the heart muscle. As a youth you really have to have a genetic predisposition for a thing called hyperlipidemia. I have only seen one case the person was 16yrs old.

The other way oxygen might not get to the heart muscle is if there is a spasm. Like people who take crack/cocaine. The people I have seen with this are 20's to 30's
